Chapter 3: Tell A Friend Viral Marketing
One of the easiest forms of viral marketing is by telling a friend.
You see, telling a friend will work under three conditions:

The sender has something to benefit from it

The receiver has something to benefit from it


Everyone knows that PLR is one of the best rights someone can have for an E-book, because it allows you do whatever you want with it (well, almost).
However, even PLR has certain restrictions such as non-transferable rights or bundling rights (just like certain resell rights).
But one of the advantages of NO RESTRICTION private label rights is the fact that you can SELL the private label rights of the book – hence you let the book go viral almost immediately!
Certain PLR resellers even include a SALES LETTER for the resellers to easily edit the contents of the sales letter.
Do you know what this means?
Reseller after reseller selling the best rights to the book all across the Internet!
This is the best way to get your affiliate links or promotions all over the Internet very quickly!
But then, what happens if the resellers EDIT the contents of the book, you may ask? Wouldn’t that reduce the effectiveness of the viral effect?
Well, the solution to that is very simple… human beings are LAZY by nature. They will just cut and paste the sales letter and sell the products AS IT IS. Because it is too much work for them to redo the content, they will all sell the products most likely in the ORIGINAL FORM.
This often sells faster than master resell rights and if you embed your affiliate links or promotions carefully, it will give resellers a LOT of resistance when they try and edit your book!
Look for resellers who sell NO RESTRICTION PLR books and contribute to their package if you want to achieve the ultimate viral effect!
Chapter 6: Blog & Theme Viral Marketing
One of the other ways to create a viral marketing campaign besides using or reselling E-books is to use blogs and blog themes to market yourself.
Here is a three step process that will allow you to get lots of traffic to your website:

Approach a high traffic blogger and ask if you can be a contributor to their blog for a particular blog post or topic.
(2)
Write an EXCELLENT blog post that will get people’s attention (especially on these high traffic blogs).
(3)
Leave a bio box or a link that traces back to your own site.
Now, the question you may ask is, why don’t you reserve the best content for your OWN blog? Wouldn’t that brand you better?
Well this is actually selfish thinking… good things must be shared, not hidden under a basket.
High traffic blogs give you more exposure!
If you have a blog that has low traffic, it will not reach out to many people but if you give your content away to others, high traffic will get you noticed and if they LIKE your blog post, they will spread the word (using ‘social bookmarking’ sharing) and you will get a lot of traffic to your site very quickly!
You can also design your own blog theme and give it away for free!
One thing wonderful about free blog themes is that if it is given away for free and it is used by someone’s blog, a few things can happen:

They upload your blog theme and there is a backlink to YOUR site.

Those who upload your blog theme will be able to follow a link from the Wordpress Presentation Theme and you can promote yourself even from there.

People will recommend your blog theme if it looks beautiful!
Chapter 7: Web 2.0 Viral Marketing
One of the newest yet oldest form of viral marketing is the usage of E-mail and Web 2.0 sites.
Remember the video called ‘Numa Numa’ who had this guy lip-syncing to a song… it was one of the MOST VIRAL VIDEOS of all time.
The owner of the site had TONS of traffic flooding into his site everyday and people everywhere WANT to imitate him and do their own parodies of the ‘Numa Numa Dance’ as well.
Another good example is the ‘Diet Coke & Mentos’ scenario.
Basically, when you have something interesting or extreme, people will tend to share it with their friends through forwarded E-mails, but in the case of Internet marketing, you can do a lot more if you play your cards right.
Facebook drives a lot of traffic as well because of the way they link applications and photos (tagging). For example, you can join an application for a game that builds empires using ‘GOLD’. They offer you MORE gold when you refer your friends to that application. That is how they build their list!
You can do the same by driving traffic to your opt-in forms, landing pages or blogs and you will be able to build viral traffic very quickly!
Chapter 8: Viral Spiral Marketing
This is a new concept introduced by Tim Brocklehurst.
Here’s what he says.
It’s no secret that JVs (joint ventures) and cross promotions are one of the most productive ways to make high volumes of sales on the Internet. Traditionally, JVs are most common between two people who have created a product and are selling it online. But that needn't be the case and there is a way in which you can get all the benefits, traffic and sales of a JV without even having a product of your own. What actually happens in a JV cross-promotion? Websites promote other websites for two main reasons: 1. To earn income from commission sales. 2. To pay, or earn, favors. The first of these you might expect, the second is more intricate.
You see, when you're running an online business, your options and your growth are restricted if you try doing it all on your own. Sure, there's pay-per-click advertising, article marketing, traffic exchangers, and a variety of ways you can draw traffic to your site by paying for it. But nothing beats personal recommendation. Its human nature: We all prefer to buy through personal recommendation than by enticing advertisements. And JV’s or cross-promotions are all about personal recommendation. The only thing is - as every super-affiliate knows - even if you're offering attractive commission rates; the site that's getting promoted always gets more out of the deal than the JV partner who's doing the promoting. Look at this comparison: The JV partner doing the promotion gets: 1. A 'notional' favor from the site it promotes. 2. Commission payments, hopefully paid in good time but always at the discretion of the site owner. The site being promoted gets: 1. Lots of new list members 2. Lots of Sales 3. This is one of the reasons why it is more difficult than many people think to get JV partners promoting for you.
No matter how attractive your commission percentages are, you will always be getting more out of the deal than your JV partner. Especially if your landing page is a list-building squeeze page. In the fast paced world of Internet marketing the cliché “content is king” still holds
true. Providing unique and interesting content for the masses is fast becoming one
of the best ways to stay on top in the Internet marketing business.
So how can a successful entrepreneur stay in the curve without spending every
waking minute writing? The answer to that question may well be private label rights
articles and ebook. There have been numerous threads in marketing forums asking
if PLR is dead, some simply saying that all PLR packages out there are just crap. It
only show a deep misunderstanding of what PLR is and how powerful it can be if

rights with Private Label rights. Whereas with PLR you have the right to change

content, add affiliate links, or sponsored product recommendations and then claim it
for your own.
To put it differently, basically you can modify the content to allow a greater variety
of cash producing venues . For instance, you could include affiliate links to your

Why edit or rewrite PLR content?
PLR For Search Engine Optimization
Many marketers are reluctant to purchase and use private label content because
they fear their site will receive the dreaded “duplicate content penalty” from Google
and other search engines. The fear is that the penalty will dry up their traffic, hence
their cash flow. There is no reason for the users of private label rights content to
fear penalization via the duplicate content penalty if you edit your content correctly.
Then some marketers tend to lean the other way completely and do not edit the
PLR content at all with no fear of penalization.
The purpose of buying a PLR article package is not so you have a ready made pop it
in the oven piece of work to throw out there like yesterday’s trash. It’s so that you
don’t have to spend the time researching a topic that you know NOTHING or LITTLE
about. Do you have ANY idea how long it takes to thoroughly research a topic, any
topic?

Many people do not understand the importance of changing and modifying private
label rights content for search engine optimization.
Have a look at all sites with good ranking in search engines. Pick up a topic you like
and browse the highest ranked sites. They all have on thing in common : they are
all loaded with content.
Content is king, no matter what you think about it.
You don’t have to like the fact that in order to move steadily up the search engine
ranks you need to constantly add content to your site, but you darn better well
accept it because it is a fact of Internet marketing life that is NOT going to go away.

see tons of articles written on thousands of subject. Do you know why so many
people are into article marketing? Because it works and it’s so simple.

But some people can’t write and have no desire to learn how to write. That’s where
PLR comes in, and done correctly, it can be VERY beneficial. Almost as beneficial as
writing your own content from scratch. It can be seen as even more beneficial
as you can create more content that way (using PLR materials) than
creating it from scratch.

The duplicate content penalty is a major motivator to changing your PLR content but
not the only reason. Let me explain: duplicate content is either completely matching
other content or is very similar. If contents of one page on the internet or within the
same website are the same or similar to another, it is considered duplicate content
and is penalized accordingly by web crawlers and that should be avoided if you are
interested in gaining traffic via search engines (you will not be as much penalized if
your site is already gaining an ‘authority’ level thanks to relevant and strong
backlinks).
Although there are many different search engines that web surfers use to search out
the information they are looking for online, in this report we will mainly use Google
as a reference.
Google’s spider (sometimes called crawler or robot) is a script that browses the
Internet to gather information for Google’s index.
When Google’s spiders crawl a website, they like to index each page and show
pages with good, fresh information. These spiders see duplex content and will not
list more than one set of the content. For example: if your site has articles in both a
normal version and a printer version and one or the other is not blocked in
robots.txt or via a no follow or no index meta tag, the spider will choose one version
of the text to list but not both.
Google won't view the same content written in English and French or German as
duplicate articles but using private label right materials without changing it will
definitely be a red light to search engine crawlers. Anyone using the bum marketing
method or a system using search engine optimization to gain traffic should really be
aware of how to use private label rights article content correctly.

Often, Google sees duplicate content with the intent to twist ranking and to trick
web surfers; they make adjustments in the indexing and ranking of the websites
found doing so. Although most of the time Google uses filtering rather than ranking
adjustments, which will cause the website with duplicate content to have a
undesirable version of a page shown in their index.
But it gets even worse.
Let’s say you submit that article to Ezine Articles (more on this in the next section)
and they do their own research and find out that this is a PLR article. They will not
only reject the article but they may also ban you from submitting anything
to them ever again.
The advantage with editing and rewriting content is that you'll have more chances of
having more versions of your content appear in the first few pages of the search
engines.
Although there is still no certainty as no one can accurately predict the minimum
percentage of changes required to avoid duplicate content, a good rule of thumb is

different of any other pages. The search engines' algorithms also change often
so checking your stats on indexing and updating the percentage of changes per
article is a must.

submitting free reprint articles to article directories in order to promote your
website.
Article directories have established themselves as traffic generators for
Internet marketers all over the planet. Marketers acknowledge the

to get the best out of what this kind of content strategy can do.
Article directory websites can be used to submit articles to in order to promote your
website or you can use them yourself to find content resources for your own emails,
blog, or ezine. You can gain exposure to your website and get traffic through articles

It is simple to register on most article directory websites and then you're able to

So is rewriting and editing important?
YES! Lets recap what we learned...
What happens if you do not edit your PLR contents?
1. Search engines penalize websites for violating the duplicate content rules and
this makes for poor placement in the search engine’s index (if the page on
which your article is not 25 ot 35% different of any other).
2. Web surfers and would-be customers are not attracted to your website
because of poorly written or overused content.
3. People bookmark other competitors websites that took the time to edit and
rewrite content that makes old news seem fresh.
4. Article submission websites will reject non-exclusive articles.
5. Your credibility as an expert in your field could be at stake.
Therefore, you have to do some simple rewriting. And yes, it is simple. I will show
you some minor things you can do that will turn your PLR article into your own piece
of work.

The “HOW” of it
Which approach is best for you?
Okay now that the case for rewriting and editing PLR material has been defined..the
question now is how do we cost effectively get all these edits done!
Some marketers take a minimalist approach to content editing, leaving the PLR’s
articles untouched but writing a brief introduction and then adding a brief comment
at the end.
You could use unique article generators to add a few lines or a “header” to the top
of your articles and a “footer at the base but you could be wasting your time. This
type of PLR editing is called “article wrapping” it is the method of adding an
introduction and conclusion to your article. Basically it adjusts the keyword density
of your content; some marketers have found it useable because it quickly adds slight
customization to articles. Often these programs allow you to add some text within
the article to add more keywords and words of your own.
In terms of longevity of content you need only read Google’s patent and you may
find it indicates that potentially quite soon articles changed only in part will not pass
the search engine duplicate content filters.
In addition, most automatically generated options only re-write small sections,
adding fluff or changing a few words around that are not keyword specific to the
articles.
Content “spinners” have been all the rage lately, with a multitude of new software
launches over the past year or so, each one with bigger and better claims of being
the latest greatest best thing for producing unique content.

If you are unfamiliar with these new tools, they essentially take content text and
automatically switch around synonyms and/or other parts of an article thus
'spinning' it into a different article. It sounds good but unfortunately, the new text
produced is almost always horrible, sloppy, and unreadable. Not exactly what most
marketers are after when trying to build a solid flow of traffic.
A few options like this exist and are named after Article Spinner, Article Rewriter. As
long as they automate the words replacement, they are useless. The only ones
which are worth are those whose content is given by user. The software is then only
used to improve productivity, but not to write the content itself.

The Rewritting Approach
The method of choice for some marketers (and the one we highly recommend if you
want to really profit from PLR material) is “re-writing”, but often not the first choice
since many fear writing without a net and experience the frustration of not knowing
how to do it quickly and efficiently. Although PLR content provides a great starting
point to jump from, otherwise you would have to research and write your own
outlines.
With PLR content, you can simple read, absorb and rewrite it with your own ideas
flowing from the content you just read. This is a good thing. It means your articles
will be unique.
Plus, you can add and inject your own personality to your content and you can
basically do what you like with the PLR content, since you own the rights to it.
If you want your final unique articles to be of a truly high standard, and they really
